ANP Blames KP Minister Mina Khan in Rs 2.1 Billion Doctor Hiring Scandal
Earlier, Awami National Party (ANP) Provincial General Secretary Shah Hussain Yousafzai has levelled serious allegations of corruption against Provincial Minister Meena Khan, claiming that doctor recruitment posts were allegedly sold for Rs 1.5 million each from the Chief Minister’s House.
He further alleged that the appointments process was influenced by financial dealings rather than merit, raising concerns over transparency in the provincial health department’s hiring process.
While talking to the media along with other party leaders in Peshawar, he revealed that an alleged corruption of Rs 2.1 billion has been committed in just three to four days through monkey distribution in the posts of these 1400 doctors recruited on a one-year contract.
Shah Hussain Yousafzai said that the worst rigging has been done in this recruitment process, under which talented doctors with high qualifications and specialization were deprived, while those who passed through instalments and pushbacks were given jobs.
He said that the regular merit results were first released on the portal, the screenshots of which are available to the candidates, but later the original results were made invisible from the portal, numbers were faked with a pencil and signed with a marker and awarded to the desired people.
The provincial general secretary, while severely criticizing the ruling party, asked, “Where has the corruption-free Pakistan of those who claim transparency, Naya Pakistan and the State of Madina gone now?” He challenged Meena Khan to come forward and deny this corruption on oath. If he does so, I will leave politics, but if I present witnesses against this alleged bribery, the public will see his true face.
He clarified that the ANP’s Malgary Doctoran is active against this injustice and will unite all the affected doctors and go to extremes against this corruption.
