KP-TEVTA Announces Vacancies for Instructors and Junior Instructors in Three Districts

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (KP-TEVTA) has invited applications from eligible residents of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the newly merged districts for several instructor and junior instructor positions at government technical and vocational centres.

The vacancies are available at Government Technical and Vocational Centres (Boys) in Mingora Swat, Yar Hussain Swabi and Dera Ismail Khan.

According to the hiring notice, KP-TEVTA is seeking candidates for six categories, with a total of nine positions available.

The positions include Instructor – Hospitality & Tourism, Instructor – Information Technology, Instructor – Agribusiness, Junior Instructor – Hospitality & Tourism, Junior Instructor – Information Technology and Junior Instructor – Agribusiness.

For the Instructor positions, the maximum age limit is 35 years, while candidates must be at least 22 years old. The Hospitality and Tourism Instructor position requires a 16-year bachelor’s degree in Hospitality and Hotel/Restaurant Management, Food, Beverage and Culinary Arts Management, or an equivalent HEC-recognized qualification.

The Information Technology Instructor position requires a 16-year bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline from an HEC-recognized university. Candidates for the Agribusiness Instructor position must hold a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, including BSc (Hons), Agricultural Engineering, Farm Machinery and Power, or another relevant agricultural discipline from an HEC-recognized university.

KP-TEVTA has also announced two vacancies each for Junior Instructor positions in Hospitality and Tourism, Information Technology and Agribusiness. The age limit for these positions is 18 to 30 years.

Candidates applying for Junior Instructor – Hospitality & Tourism must possess a DAE in Hospitality, Hotel Management, Food Technology or an equivalent qualification. The Junior Instructor – Information Technology post requires a DAE in Computer Science or an IT-related discipline, while candidates for Junior Instructor – Agribusiness must have a DAE or post-matric diploma in Agricultural Technology, Farm Machinery, Agricultural Engineering or an equivalent qualification recognized by the relevant Board of Technical Education.

The selected instructors and junior instructors will be responsible for delivering and supporting competency-based technical and vocational education and training (CBT&A). Their duties will include theoretical instruction, practical laboratory and workshop training, field demonstrations, project-based learning and competency-based assessments in accordance with the National Vocational Qualification Framework (NVQF), NAVTTC competency standards and approved curricula.

Applicants are expected to have relevant technical and practical skills in their respective fields, along with strong communication, presentation and interpersonal abilities. Depending on the position, required skills include hospitality operations, software development, database administration, networking and cybersecurity, agricultural practices, farm machinery and practical training methodologies.

Six-Month Initial Engagement

According to the terms of engagement, successful candidates will initially be hired for six months, or until completion of the project, or hiring of regular staff, whichever occurs earlier.

The authority has clarified that the engagement will not create any right to permanent recruitment or regularization. Selected candidates will not be entitled to claim permanent employment or regularization in any KP-TEVTA institute on the basis of this contractual engagement.
