ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced an increase in LPG prices for September 2026, raising the rate by Rs4.33 per kilogram.
According to the notification issued by OGRA, the revised LPG prices will take effect from September 1, 2026.
The increase has also pushed up the price of an 11.8-kilogram domestic LPG cylinder by Rs51.17.
Following the latest adjustment, the price of an 11.8kg LPG cylinder has been fixed at Rs3,052 for September.
Cement Prices Fall: Here’s How Much a Bag Costs Now
Earlier, retail cement prices recorded a decline across Pakistan during the week ended August 27, according to the latest data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
The average retail price of a cement bag in northern cities and areas fell to Rs1,555, compared with Rs1,565 in the preceding week. This represents a decrease of Rs10 per bag, or 0.63 percent.
A similar decline was recorded in southern cities and areas. The average retail price dropped to Rs1,539 per bag from Rs1,547 a week earlier, marking a reduction of Rs8 per bag, or 0.53 percent.
Cement Prices in Major Cities
According to PBS data, the average retail price of a cement bag in Islamabad was Rs1,532 during the week under review, while it stood at Rs1,535 in Rawalpindi.
Prices in other cities were recorded at Rs1,600 in Gujranwala, Rs1,500 in Sialkot, Rs1,590 in Lahore, Rs1,550 in Faisalabad and Rs1,582 in Sargodha.
The average price in Multan was Rs1,591, while Bahawalpur recorded Rs1,560, Peshawar Rs1,573 and Bannu Rs1,490 per bag.
In southern cities, cement was priced at Rs1,470 per bag in Karachi, Rs1,519 in Hyderabad, Rs1,600 in Sukkur, Rs1,523 in Larkana, Rs1,520 in Quetta and Rs1,600 in Khuzdar.
