PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department has issued special instructions to ensure timely provision of medical facilities to the mourners during the Ashura Day.
In this regard, the District Health Officers (DHOs) of the concerned districts of the province and the Medical Superintendents (MS) of various hospitals have been directed to fully implement the Ashura Advisory.
According to the instructions issued by the Health Department, special medical teams will be deployed around Imambargahs and on the designated routes of mourning processions to provide immediate medical assistance in any emergency.
The instructions also state that all concerned institutions should ensure the availability of medicines, medical supplies and other essential equipment so that the mourners do not face any difficulty.
The Health Department has further directed that ambulance services should be available at all times on the routes of the processions and immediate response should be given in case of any emergency.
According to officials, all necessary arrangements are being made to make public health facilities effective and provide timely medical assistance to the public during Ashura.
