ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has launched a major network upgrade activity to further improve the performance and security of its network infrastructure and digital services.
According to PTA officials, the Mobile Device Registration System is likely to be temporarily affected due to PTA’s network upgrade.
According to the announcement, the upgrade process will start from 5 pm on June 24 and continue till 6 am on June 25.
During this time, the services of the Online Mobile Device Registration System (DIRBS) may face intermittent disruptions or temporary unavailability.
The organization says that the aim of this upgrade is to make the network infrastructure compatible with modern requirements, strengthen the security of digital services and provide better and stable services to the users.
PTA said that technical teams are continuously monitoring the entire upgrade process so that the users face minimal difficulties and the services can be fully restored as soon as possible.
PTA has requested the cooperation of all relevant institutions, business partners and consumers, saying that this necessary maintenance and upgrade activity is being carried out to provide more effective, secure and reliable telecommunications services in the future.
