The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced the implementation of the e-registry system in the province, under which the manual registration system will be completely abolished from June 15, 2026.

The Land Records Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has issued an official notification in this regard, while the Directorate of Land Records has also issued a schedule for the implementation of the system for all districts.

According to the notification, the training process of sub-registrars will be completed in two phases. The first phase will start from April 29, while the second phase will be held on April 30. The training sessions will be held at the Revenue Academy Hayatabad, Peshawar, where participants have also been instructed to bring laptops.

The training sessions will be briefed on the reconciliation of manual registers, tax recovery and the procedure of the new e-registry system. According to officials, the implementation of the e-registry system will bring transparency in the registration process and will also significantly improve the speed.

On the other hand, it has been decided to take action against all unregistered tour guides in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. A fine will be imposed on those who conduct tour guiding without registration. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority has made registration of guides mandatory.

According to the notification, legal action will be taken against violations, and heavy fines and sanctions will be imposed. Steps have already been taken to stop illegal guiding at tourist spots.
