Former Speaker of the National Assembly Asad Qaiser and Shahram Khan Tarakai formally inaugurated 8 new operation theaters at Bacha Khan Medical Complex MTI Shah Mansoor Swabi. Members of the Board of Governors of MTI Swabi and the hospital administration were also present at the inauguration ceremony, while a cake was also cut on the occasion and the delegation visited the new operation theaters.
The new operation theaters include 5 main OTs, 2 emergency OTs and a labor room OT, the establishment of which will provide quality and timely treatment facilities to the people of Swabi and surrounding areas. The delegation also visited the modern laboratory under construction above the emergency of the hospital, a space reserved for the cath lab and endoscopy and bronchoscopy units, while Shahram Khan Tarakai also announced to provide Rs 50 million for the development schemes of the hospital and assured cooperation for the early completion of all projects.
On this occasion, the hospital director gave a detailed briefing on the ongoing projects and said that the modern laboratory is in the final stages of completion, the approval of the cath lab has been received and work on it will start soon, a separate unit for endoscopy and bronchoscopy has been completed, while work on important projects like HMIS will also start soon.
Asad Qaiser said that providing the best health facilities to the people at their doorstep is the top priority and it is our responsibility to equip Bacha Khan Medical Complex with modern medical facilities. He said that work is underway on the vision of making Swabi a complete medical city where all types of treatment will be available, while more development projects are also under consideration, which will significantly improve the health sector.
He added that Bacha Khan Medical Complex has made significant progress in a short time and the public’s trust in this hospital is increasing. It is one of the largest hospitals in the province, providing facilities to millions of people annually under the Sehat Card, while modern equipment and trained staff play a key role in the success of the hospital, and steps are being taken in this regard as well.
