JAMRUD: Station House Officer (SHO) of Mulagori Police Station, Riaz Hussain Afridi, was martyred after sustaining critical injuries in an exchange of fire with alleged smugglers in the Sher Barj area of Malagori tehsil in Khyber district.
According to police, SHO Riaz Hussain Afridi was seriously wounded after being shot during the gunfight with the smugglers. He was immediately shifted to a hospital for treatment but succumbed to his injuries.
Following the incident, police launched a crackdown and arrested two alleged smugglers. Further evidence is being collected from the scene as part of the ongoing investigation.
