Key Australian players will not be available for the tour of Pakistan due to the Indian Premier League.
According to the Cricket Australia website, the players who qualified for the IPL playoffs will not be able to participate, and Australian ODI captain Pat Cummins will also not come to Pakistan. According to the Cricket Australia website, Travis Head, Mitchell Starc, and Josh Hazlewood are also likely to miss the tour. Mitchell Marsh or Josh Inglis could be given the lead of the ODI team. Marnus Labuschagne, Adam Zampa, and Alex Carey are candidates for inclusion in the ODI squad.
Marnus Labuschagne and Adam Zampa recently participated in the Pakistan Super League. Fast bowlers will not be included due to the upcoming busy Test schedule. Nathan Ellis and Matthew Renshaw, who are recovering from injury, may also join the tour.
The IPL league matches end on May 24, the playoffs will be played from May 26 to 31, the Australian ODI team will arrive in Islamabad on May 23, and the first ODI match is scheduled for May 30. Australia has to travel from Pakistan to Bangladesh for the white-ball series. The white-ball series in Bangladesh is scheduled from June 9.
