Kaghan Valley witnessed an overwhelming tourist influx during Eid holidays, with over 128,862 visitors entering the scenic valley, officials confirmed.
According to Kaghan Development Authority, the massive turnout started from Chand Raat and peaked on Eid day 1 and 2. Hotels, guest houses, and camping sites in Shogran, Naran, Batakundi, and Lake Saif-ul-Malook operated at 100% occupancy. Traffic jams were reported on the Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad Road as convoys of tourists from Punjab, Islamabad, and Karachi headed north.
Total tourists 128,862+ entered Kaghan Valley during Eid days. Lake Saif-ul-Malook, Lulusar Lake, Babusar Pass, and Shogran remained the most crowded spot. KP Tourism Dept and local police deployed additional staff for traffic management, rescue, and cleanliness

Authorities said this year’s Eid rush is among the highest recorded in the last 5 years. The KP government had earlier announced special facilitation centers and extra Rescue 1122 units along the N-15 highway for tourist safety.
Officials urged visitors to follow safety guidelines, avoid overloading vehicles on hilly tracks, and dispose of waste responsibly to keep the valley clean.
