Despite US-Iran tensions, crude oil prices recorded a slight decline in the international market on Thursday, despite renewed uncertainty following fresh clashes between the United States and Iran.

According to foreign media reports, Brent crude futures fell by 43 cents, or 0.45%, to $95.20 per barrel. US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude also dropped by 24 cents, or 0.26%, to $90.77 per barrel.

Analysts say the market remains volatile amid geopolitical tensions, but profit-taking and supply expectations kept the losses moderate. Meanwhile in Pakistan, the federal government continued its pattern of fuel price adjustments. The Petroleum Division announced new rates for September 3, 2026.

Petrol Increased by Rs 2.29 per litre while Diesel Increased by Rs 1.11 per litre. The hike comes even as global oil prices show a minor correction.
