ISLAMABAD: Interpol has issued red warrants for renowned property tycoon Malik Riaz and his son, Ali Riaz, at the request of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB). This development arises from an investigation into alleged financial irregularities, corruption, and money laundering amounting to over Rs900 billion.

According to NAB officials, investigations into these cases have been completed, and significant recoveries have already been made. However, many other high-profile references and inquiries are still ongoing.

Furthermore, as part of a crackdown on illegal land acquisition and encroachment, land retrieval operations have been conducted in various parts of the country and major cities. A special task force has also been established at the provincial level to oversee the management of the recovered land and properties.

Malik Riaz, 72 years old, is the founder and chairman of Bahria Town, while his son, Ali Riaz, serves as the company’s CEO. Both have been facing numerous legal cases related to land sales and financial transactions for several years.
