The National Highways and Motorway Police’s helpline 130 was partially affected due to a technical glitch, after which alternative contact numbers of various motorway police units have been issued for the convenience of citizens.
A statement issued by the Motorway Police said that despite the partial disruption in the service of the helpline 130, assistance and guidance services have been continued so that passengers do not face any kind of trouble.
According to the statement, in case of any emergency, accident or need for help during the journey, citizens can contact the alternative numbers of the relevant motorway police sectors.
The Motorway Police has apologized to the citizens for the temporary inconvenience and said that steps are being taken to resolve the technical issue and the service will be fully restored soon.
According to the spokesperson, citizens can also contact the social media account “NHMP official” for further guidance, information or complaints.
Motorway authorities have directed passengers to ensure compliance with traffic rules while traveling and to immediately contact the nearest Motorway Police Unit in case of any emergency.
It should be noted that the National Highways and Motorway Police is a federal agency of Pakistan that is responsible for enforcing traffic rules, protecting passengers and preventing crime on national highways, motorways and expressways. The headquarters of the organization is located in Islamabad.
