PESHAWAR: Mainly hot and humid weather is expected to prevail across most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday, while the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast isolated rain accompanied by wind and thunderstorms in several upper and central districts of the province.
According to the PMD, rain-wind/thundershowers are likely in Dir, Chitral, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Buner, Peshawar, Kurram, Kohat and Waziristan.
The Met Office said that while most parts of the province will continue to experience hot and humid conditions, the expected rainfall may provide temporary relief from the prevailing heat in affected areas.
The PMD has advised residents, particularly those living in mountainous regions, to remain cautious during thunderstorms, as strong winds and heavy downpours may affect travel and outdoor activities.
Meanwhile, similar weather conditions are expected in several other parts of the country, with isolated rain forecast in Kashmir, northeast Punjab and Gilgit-Baltistan during the evening and night.
