BERUIT: Hezbollah has claimed to have targeted the Ramat David Air Base in northern Israel with drone attacks, while Israel has issued evacuation warnings for dozens of other areas in Lebanon.

A statement issued by Hezbollah said that its armed drones successfully targeted the control room and radar system of the Ramat David Air Base. The organization said that this operation was a response to the ongoing Israeli bombing of various areas of Lebanon, especially the southern parts of Beirut.

On the other hand, the Israeli Air Force again carried out heavy bombing of southern Beirut (Dahiya) on the night between Monday and Tuesday, in which several buildings were hit. The Israeli military has issued an emergency evacuation warning for 59 more towns and villages in Lebanon.

According to an Israeli spokesman, these areas will be targeted due to Hezbollah activities. Citizens have been instructed to immediately move to open areas at least one kilometre away from their homes. The warning strongly warns that anyone living near Hezbollah installations may be harmed, for which they will be held responsible.

According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, the death toll in Israeli operations in the past 24 hours has exceeded 50, while hundreds of people have been injured. An atmosphere of panic persists in the area and thousands of families are migrating in search of safety.
