ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Religious Affairs has extended the registration deadline for the private Hajj scheme until October 22, allowing more applicants to secure a place under the programme.

According to a spokesperson for the ministry, private Hajj operators have so far booked 55,500 pilgrims, while approximately 4,500 slots remain available. The extension aims to ensure that the remaining quota is fully utilized.

The spokesperson urged intending pilgrims to finalize their bookings at the earliest to avoid missing out.

Under the private Hajj scheme, licensed tour operators manage travel, accommodation, and related arrangements for pilgrims who prefer personalized packages. The decision to extend the deadline comes amid strong demand and limited availability of private Hajj slots.
