The Sindh government has announced 40 vacancies for Medical Officers and Information Officers in various provincial departments, with eligible candidates invited to apply for the positions.
The Sindh Home Department has announced 32 posts of Medical Officer (BPS-17) for male candidates. Applicants must hold an MBBS degree from a recognised institution, be registered with the relevant medical authority and have completed one year of house job experience.
The department has also announced four posts of Lady Medical Officer (BPS-17) for female candidates. Applicants must meet the required medical education, professional registration and house job experience criteria.
Meanwhile, the Sindh Information Department has announced four vacancies for Information Officer (BPS-17). Candidates applying for these posts must hold a master’s degree in Mass Communication or Journalism from a university recognised by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
Applicants must also meet the relevant experience requirements, and candidates have been advised to carefully review all eligibility criteria mentioned in the official advertisement before submitting their applications.
The Medical Officer positions are intended for candidates with the required medical qualifications, professional registration and experience, while applicants for the Information Officer posts must have an educational background in Mass Communication or Journalism.
According to the Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC), the last date to apply for the vacancies is October 23, 2026. Candidates can submit their applications online until 5pm on the deadline.
An application fee of Rs500 has been set for the posts and is non-refundable. Applicants are required to generate a PSID and pay the fee through the available online payment methods before completing the online application process.
Candidates have been advised not to wait until the last day and to complete all required steps well in advance. They should also verify their educational qualifications, professional registration, experience and other eligibility requirements before applying to avoid difficulties during the application process.
