ISLAMABAD: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has opened applications for nine contract-based positions under development projects financed through the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP), offering monthly salaries of up to Rs. 398,130.
The vacancies are open to eligible Pakistani nationals and include positions ranging from Project Director and Law Officer to Project Manager, Project Accountant, Office Assistant and Attendant.
According to the recruitment advertisement, salaries for the advertised positions range from Rs. 40,700 to Rs. 398,130 per month, depending on the post and applicable Project Pay Scale (PPS).
Interested candidates can submit their applications online through the HEC careers portal by October 14, 2026. An application processing fee of Rs. 1,000 is applicable.

The highest-paid position is Project Director (PPS-09), carrying a monthly salary of Rs. 398,130. One vacancy is available on merit, with the maximum age set at 62 years.
The commission has also advertised one Law Officer (PPS-08) position for Punjab and one Project Manager (PPS-08) position on merit, with both posts offering Rs. 295,320 per month.
Two Project Manager (PPS-07) positions are available, with one allocated to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and one to Punjab. The monthly salary for these posts is Rs. 212,630.
The remaining vacancies include one Project Accountant (PPS-07) for Sindh Urban, two Office Assistant (PPS-05) posts for Sindh Rural and Punjab, and one Attendant (PPS-01) position on a local basis.
Eligibility for Project Director
The Project Director position is linked to a project for awarding 3,000 Allama Muhammad Iqbal Scholarships to Afghan students under the Prime Minister’s directive.
Applicants for the post must possess a master’s degree or equivalent qualification representing 16 years of education, with at least a second division from an HEC-recognised university or institution.
Candidates must also have seven years of professional experience in a reputable public or private-sector organisation, including at least five years of managerial experience after obtaining their final degree.
