ISLAMABAD: Saudi Arabia’s new national carrier, Riyadh Air has started ticket bookings for flights to Pakistan as the airline prepares to launch its operations in the country.
The airline has opened public ticket sales for flights connecting Riyadh with Islamabad and Lahore, marking an expansion of its growing international network in Asia.
The first flight of Riyadh Air to Islamabad is scheduled to take place on August 14 while that to Lahore will commence on August 18. Furthermore, the airline will also launch operations in Manila in September 2026.
“The new route aligns with our strategic vision of connectivity within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and our aspirations under Vision 2030 to boost international connectivity,” said the airline.
According to Riyadh Air, the new routes are meant to cater to the businessmen, tourists, workers and families, including the large number of people from Pakistan living in Saudi Arabia.
The routes will also help in improving connectivity between Pakistan, Middle East and other international destinations.
