The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister announced a comprehensive development package of Rs 200 million for various developmental projects of Hazara and directed double road for various localities for better travel facilities for the citizens.
An important meeting of parliamentarians from Hazara Division was held at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi, in which detailed consultations were held regarding the preparation of the upcoming annual development program.
During the meeting, the federal government was asked to make the Haripur to Mansehra GT Road, under the management of the National Highway Authority, a two-lane road. The Chief Minister announced that the provincial government will provide financial assistance for the expansion of the road so that the people can get better travel facilities.
The Chief Minister announced the formation of a special comprehensive development package of Rs 200 billion for Hazara Division and directed that Rs 50 billion of this should be allocated for tourism projects. The parliamentarians were instructed to hold a separate consultative meeting on the proposals of the schemes included in the special development plan.
In the meeting, the Chief Minister also announced the issuance of a notification to make Alai a district. He said that the development program of the next financial year will be different and prominent from the past, in which large and public importance projects will be included. At the same time, the timely completion of ongoing development projects will be given top priority so that the people can benefit immediately.
The Chief Minister further said that before finalizing the ADP, PCs of development projects will be prepared, and special attention will be paid to the backward districts of the province. The Speaker of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly and elected members of the National and Provincial Assembly from Hazara Division also attended the meeting.
Provincial Minister Sohail Afridi said that according to the vision of the founder of PTI, substantial investment will be made in the health and education sectors so that basic facilities can be provided to the people. He also clarified that the priorities of the special development package will be decided keeping in mind the needs of the people and regional development.
