BANNU: The funeral prayers of 15 martyred police personnel were offered with official honours at Police Lines Bannu here on Sunday evening.
According to the spokesperson of the Bannu region police, the funeral prayers of police personnel martyred in the terrorist attack on Fateh Khel checkpost were held with official honours at Police Lines Bannu.
The funeral prayers were attended by Regional Police Officer, Bannu Region, Sajjad Khan, DPO Bannu Yasir Afridi, DPO Lakki Marwat Nazir Khan, SP CTD Fazal Wahid, SP Headquarters Mahmood Nawaz, SP City Tohid Khan, SP Rural Haider Khan, and senior police officers, police personnel and relatives of the martyrs in large numbers.
On this occasion, arrangements were made to bury the martyrs with full official honours, while after the funeral prayers, special prayers were also offered for the high status of the martyrs and the patience of the relatives.
DIG Bannu Region Sajjad Khan, while speaking on the occasion, said that Bannu Police are brave and have shown courage and bravery in every difficult situation.
He said that this cowardly act of terrorists is intolerable and the blood of the martyrs will not be waived.
The DIG announced that the blood of the martyrs will be avenged and the terrorists will be selectively brought to their logical conclusion. He also assured the families of the martyrs of all possible cooperation and full support.
