ISLAMABAD:  After a gap of 3 days, gold and silver prices have increased again in international and local markets.

In the international bullion market, the price of gold per ounce increased by $43 to reach $4,191 per ounce. Due to the increase in the international market, the local market also saw a sharp rise.

According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association, the price of gold per tola increased by Rs 4,300 to Rs 441,636 per tola.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs 3,686 to Rs 378,631. Silver prices also followed the upward trend. The price of silver per tola increased by Rs 20 to Rs 6,578 per tola.

The price of 10 grams of silver increased by Rs 17 to Rs 5,639. Jewellers say that the recent rise in prices is due to the increase in international market rates, fluctuations in the dollar, and increased investor interest in gold.
