The federal government has declared a public holiday across the country on Friday, May 1, on the occasion of International Workers’ Day, a formal notification of which has also been issued.

According to the announcement issued, all government and private offices and most business centers will remain closed on this day to pay tribute to the services of the working class and promote awareness about their rights.

It should be noted that Labor Day is celebrated in Pakistan every year on May 1, the main objective of which is to remember the historical struggle of the working class and raise awareness for their socio-economic welfare.

In view of the importance of this day, special ceremonies and activities are also organized at various levels to appreciate the key role of workers in the country’s development and to reiterate the commitment to providing their rights.
