ISLAMABAD: The federal bureaucracy has undergone a series of appointments and transfers, with several senior officers being reassigned to different departments.
According to official notifications issued by the Establishment Division, Captain (retd) Saif Anjum, a Grade-22 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) and Secretary of the Industries and Production Division, has been transferred and directed to report to the Establishment Division.
Meanwhile, the deputation period of Sameera Sheikh, serving as Joint Secretary (Public) at the Prime Minister’s Office, has been extended for another two years. The extension will remain effective from October 2, 2026, to October 1, 2028.
Muhammad Ramzan, who was awaiting posting, has been appointed Deputy Secretary at the Ministry of Defence. Deputy Secretary Israr Ahmed has been transferred from the Ministry of Defence to the Ministry of Climate Change.
The services of Establishment Division Section Officer Jamal Haider have been placed at the disposal of the Government of Gilgit-Baltistan.
Grade-19 officer Nadeem Asghar has also been appointed Director at the Higher Education Commission (HEC) on deputation for one year. He was previously serving in the Higher Education Department of the Punjab government.
In another move, the services of Grade-18 PAS officer Zain-ul-Abideen Mirani, who was awaiting posting, have been placed at the disposal of the Sindh government.
Section Officer Asad Ali has been transferred from the Water Resources Division to the Defence Division.
Meanwhile, Grade-17 Police Service of Pakistan officer and suspended Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Sarah Ali Hashmi has been reinstated.
The Establishment Division has issued formal notifications covering the appointments, transfers, deputations and reinstatements of the officers.
