ISLAMABAD: Bookings under Pakistan’s Private Hajj Scheme are gaining momentum, with around 11,600 pilgrims having confirmed their reservations so far, according to the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
The ministry said approximately 60,000 seats remain available under the private scheme. Registered Hajj organizers have listed various packages on the Pakistan Hajj Portal, including Economy, Standard and Premium options.
According to a ministry spokesperson, 25 registered Hajj organizers have so far received Rs10 billion in payments from applicants. More than Rs4 billion of the total amount has been deposited online through the official Hajj Portal, which was developed by the National IT Board.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has also urged intending pilgrims to exercise caution when making Hajj payments. It stressed that all payments should be made only through the official Pak Hajj App or Hajj Portal.

Pilgrims have been warned against transferring money directly to unauthorized individuals, agents or companies, as such transactions may expose them to financial fraud.
Bookings under the Private Hajj Scheme will remain open until November 20, 2026, or until all available seats are booked, whichever comes first.
