PESHAWAR: Six Personnel of the Federal Constabulary were martyred, and six miscreants of Fitna-ul-Khwarij were killed when they exchanged fire with the police in the Hasan Khail area of Peshawar on Tuesday.
Local sources said that the incident occurred when terrorists attacked the FC check post in the area of Hassan Khail jurisdiction of Mattni police station. The attacker tried to seize the FC check post; however, the timely action of the brave soldiers averted the attack.
On receiving information about the attack, additional troops of the security forces also reached the spot and surrounded the area. During the same operation, 6 police personnel were also martyred while fighting very bravely, while some of the personnel are still missing.
As a result of intense firing, eight terrorist killed and six personnel martyred. The dead bodies of the martyred were shifted to LRH, and later a funeral will be held in Peshawar police line with official distinction.
It is worth mentioning here that the area of Hassan Khail is a volatile area attached to the lawless Khyber district where militants frequently launch attacks on civilians and police.
