Chinese Premier Li Keqiang has signed a new law to safeguard the country’s sovereignty, national security and economic interests, which has come into effect immediately.

According to Chinese state media, the new law consists of 20 articles, which aim to effectively respond to external pressure and measures. Under this law, if any country takes measures against China’s economic interests, citizens or institutions, China will have full authority to take action in response.

According to officials, a special list of foreign individuals, companies and institutions will also be prepared under this law that will be involved in measures against China. Various types of sanctions and countermeasures can be taken against these individuals or institutions.

According to experts, this law is part of China’s policy in the context of increasing global tensions, trade disputes and diplomatic pressure, which aims to ensure the protection of its interests at all costs. Analysts say the new law could also have implications for global politics and the economy, especially in relations with countries that have trade or political differences with China.
