The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Police on Sunday announced a partial change to its official uniform, making black shoes and black belts mandatory for senior officers from July 1st

According to an official notification issued by the Inspector General of Police, the change has been approved by the competent authority and introduced under Standing Order No. 5/2026.

Under the revised dress code, police officers holding the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), and above will be required to wear black shoes and black belts as part of their official uniform.

The notification states that the new dress code will take effect on July 1 and will apply to all eligible officers across the province. In this connection, instructions have been issued to all relevant police offices to ensure the timely implementation of the revised uniform policy.

Moreover, officials have also been directed to comply with the updated requirements before the new rules come into force. The move is aimed at standardizing the appearance of senior officers while introducing this change to the existing KP Police uniform.
