PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police have decided to develop a strategy to prevent the use of mining explosives in terrorist activities.
According to police officials, there is evidence that mining explosives have been used in improvised explosive device (IED) attacks. In the last ten incidents, terrorists employed mining explosives.
To address this issue, police officials are crafting a comprehensive strategy to stop the misuse of mining explosives in terrorism-related activities.
As part of this effort, committees will be formed that include members from the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and the Special Branch to review the situation. Authorities will also investigate other potential sources of explosive materials used in these attacks.
