BANNU: Students from Lakki Marwat delivered an outstanding performance in the Bannu Board Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Annual Examinations 2026, securing several top positions across different categories.
The results of the matric examinations conducted by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Bannu were announced during a ceremony held at the board’s auditorium. Controller of Examinations Muhammad Farooq officially announced the results.
According to the results, a total of 25,978 students appeared in the ninth-grade examinations, out of whom 23,608 students passed, with an overall success rate of 91 percent.
In the tenth-grade examinations, 29,223 candidates appeared, while 26,248 students were declared successful, achieving an overall pass percentage of 90 percent.
In the humanities group, Sania Bibi from the Government Girls High School Sadr Khel Abakhel, Lakki Marwat secured the top position with 1,099 marks out of 1,200 marks and her fellow student Umama Hussain secured the second position with 1,088 marks.
The third position was jointly secured by Sana Gul of Government Girls High School Sadr Khel Abakhel, Lakki Marwat, and Javeria of Government Girls High School Kotka Jumma Khan, Bannu, with both students scoring 1,060 marks.
In the Science Group, Fawad Khan of Sahibzada Educational Complex, Sarai Naurang, Lakki Marwat, secured first position with 1,159 marks. Ahmed Khan claimed second position with 1,157 marks, while Muhammad Abdullah Yousaf of Faiz Model High School, Lakki Marwat, secured third position with 1,154 marks.
Commissioner Bannu Division and Chairman BISE Bannu Khalid Mahmood who were present at the ceremony as chief guests handed over shields, certificates, and cash prizes to the position holders.
The ceremony was attended by Secretary BISE Noor Alam Wazir, Assistant Director IT Rafiullah Khan Marwat, DRO Umar Hayat Khan, Assistant Controller Secrecy Adeel Khan, District Education Officer Lakki Marwat Muftahuddin, educationists, heads of educational institutes, and students’ parents.
While addressing the ceremony, Khalid Mahmood congratulated the successful students, teachers, and parents for their performance, which he termed as the product of students’ hard work, teachers’ guidance, and parents’ support.
He hoped that the students would keep on performing with the same zeal in their academic career and make their country proud in future.
Mardan Board announces matric annual Exam 2026 Results
Earlier, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Mardan has announced the results of the Matric Annual Examinations 2026, according to which the overall success rate was 85.32 percent.
According to the results, the students of Girls Cadet College Mardan dominated the field in the science group and took all three positions. Maheen Ayub, a student of Girls Cadet College Mardan, secured the first position by securing 1171 marks.
Sameera Imran, a student of the same college, secured the second position by securing 1166 marks, while Fiza Zaman secured the third position by securing 1165 marks. In the Arts Group, Ayesha Sajjad, a student of Government Higher Secondary School Akbarpura Nowshera, secured the first position by scoring 1092 marks.
Hajra Qasim, a student of Government Girls Higher Secondary School Dak Ismailzai Nowshera, secured the second position by scoring 1072 marks. While Momina, a student of Government Girls Higher Secondary School Jahangira, secured the third position by scoring 1069 marks.
According to Mardan Board officials, a ceremony will also be held to encourage successful students and position holders.
