Pakistan captain Babar Azam has responded to reports about his health after suffering from fever following the national team’s 194-run defeat to England in the Lord’s Test.
Babar’s condition became a talking point after team media manager Naveed Akram Cheema confirmed that the skipper had developed a fever. Cheema said Babar himself had informed the team management about his condition, but assured that there was no reason for concern.
Babar also addressed the reports, indicating that his condition was not a cause for alarm and that he was expected to recover soon.
The Pakistan captain had a disappointing outing with the bat in the Test, scoring just eight runs in the first innings and six in the second, as Pakistan failed to chase England’s target.
Despite the defeat and his illness, Babar is expected to recover soon, with the team management continuing to monitor his condition.
