Azad Kashmir police have arrested members of the organized group that supplied modern weapons to Khawaja Mehran and Sardar Aman.
Modern automatic weapons, ammunition and other weapons were recovered from the arrested group who were involved in the trafficking and supply of illegal firearms in the area.
In the initial investigation, the accused confessed to supplying weapons to Khawaja Mehran and Sardar Aman. A senior officer of Azad Kashmir Police said that the action was taken on the basis of intelligence.
Important information about the arms trafficking network and other facilitators has come to light during interrogation of the accused. Police are now taking further action to reach out to other members of the network.
A case has been registered against the arrested accused at the police station and investigation has been launched. Police said that the operations will continue till the end of illegal smuggling of weapons from the area.
