MIRPUR: Women belongs from different walk of life have demanded restoration of peace and stability in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Adressing press conference in Chairperson Aam Aadmi Party Nasreen Farooq, social media activist Tamanna Hanan Lone and other women leaders said that Azad Kashmir is a peaceful region and the banned Public Action Committee is creating chaos, unrest and tension here which has no place. They said that in the context of the recent situation, the people need to be wary of such elements who want to promote division and unrest in the society.
The women leaders said that the relationship between Pakistan and Azad Kashmir is based on historical, ideological and public sentiments, which cannot be weakened under any circumstances. They said that Pakistan has always made great efforts for the construction and development of Azad Kashmir and the provision of basic facilities.
The speakers said that the conscious people of Azad Kashmir are in favour of peace, development and stability and will not accept any behaviour that causes unrest or tension in the state. They appealed to the people, especially women, to show responsibility, stay away from rumours and inflammatory statements and play their role in promoting peace and harmony in the society.
A large number of women and children attended the press conference. The speakers reiterated the resolve that every possible effort will be made to make Azad Kashmir a cradle of peace, brotherhood and development and that anti-patriotic or anarchist thinking will not be allowed to succeed.
