MURREE: The district administration has imposed Section 144 across Murree ahead of Pakistan’s Independence Day celebrations, urging tourists planning to visit the hill station to take note of the restrictions.
According to a notification issued by the Murree district administration, the restrictions have been introduced to maintain law and order during the Independence Day celebrations.
Section 144 will remain in force across the district until August 16, 2026.
Under the notification, only families will be allowed to visit Mall Road and GPO Chowk during the period.
Tourists planning to travel to Murree around August 14 have been advised to remain aware of the restrictions and follow the instructions issued by the local administration.
