PESHAWAR: Most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are expected to experience hot and humid weather today, while partly cloudy conditions are likely in the upper parts of the province, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department.
The weather department forecast rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms at isolated places in Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Battagram, Mansehra and Abbottabad during the evening or night.
Similar weather conditions are also expected in parts of Bajaur, Mohmand and Khyber, where isolated rain, strong winds and thunderstorms may occur.
During the last 24 hours, the highest temperature of 39°C was recorded in Dera Ismail Khan, followed by 38°C in Peshawar, 37°C in Bannu, 36°C in Chitral, 34°C in Dir, 30°C in Kakol and 23°C in Malam Jabba.
The weather department said rainfall was recorded in several areas during the previous 24 hours, with 8mm in Kakol, 7mm in Malam Jabba and 1mm in Cherat.
