ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar recently responded to the aggression of the Afghan Taliban and the border situation, stating that the Pakistani forces have delivered a strong and decisive response to the enemy’s provocations.

He noted that the Afghan Taliban regime is currently supporting terrorist groups, providing regular training to these terrorists within Afghanistan.

Tarar emphasised that Afghan soil has been utilised for the recent terrorist operations in Pakistan. He also confirmed that Pakistani forces have successfully captured several key checkpoints from the Afghan forces during their operations.

The Federal Minister described the Afghan Taliban regime as an illegal entity that came to power through force, labelling the government’s authority as both illegal and illegitimate. He pointed out that even women, children, and minorities in Afghanistan are not safe under this regime.

Moreover, Tarar accused the Afghan Taliban regime of using religion for nefarious purposes and usurping the basic rights of Afghan citizens. He mentioned that the regime has stripped away the rights of the people, creating a hierarchy among the Taliban that includes elite, middle class, and oppressed individuals. The minister described this system as one of slavery, which he stated is contrary to the principles of Islam.
