ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that Saudi Arabia has offered to provide training in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Information Technology to Pakistani youth.
He said this while addressing the inaugural ceremony of the Prime Minister Youth Laptop Scheme 2025. The Prime Minister said that the sacrifices of martyrs for the country and nation are valuable, and all resources will be utilized for the development of the young generation. Saudi Arabia has also offered to provide free education opportunities in AI to the Pakistani workforce. The Prime Minister said that Saudi Arabia is investing billions of dollars in the field of AI. Saudi Arabia has offered to provide AI and IT education to the young generation of Pakistan. Millions of boys and girls from Pakistan will be sent to Saudi Arabia for training.
He said that if we have to spend 5 billion or even 500 billion for the education and skills of the talented children of the nation, we will not back down. One hundred thousand laptops are being distributed to the students of the country on merit. Shehbaz Sharif said that today is a happy day for me, I am standing in front of the capable and talented children of the nation, the success of the students is the result of the love and prayers of parents and teachers, I salute the talented students on behalf of the nation. The Prime Minister said that the laptop scheme was started in 2011, and laptops are being distributed on a 100 percent merit basis. Under the scheme, one lakh laptops will be distributed on merit.
