GWADAR: Security forces and police have foiled an attempt to undermine peace and security in the coastal city of Gwadar, forcing several suspected terrorists to flee with injuries following a timely response.

According to security sources, operatives allegedly linked to Indian intelligence agency RAW and the group referred to as “Fitna al-Hindustan” attempted to target a vacant checkpost in Gwadar in what the sources described as a cowardly attack.

The sources said the alleged attack was aimed at disrupting the peaceful future of local Baloch residents and spreading fear and panic across the region. However, security personnel and police responded promptly, thwarting the attackers’ reported objective.

Following an intense exchange of fire, several suspected terrorists reportedly sustained injuries and fled the scene.

Immediately after the incident, security forces and police sealed off routes in the surrounding area and cordoned off the locality.

A search operation and pursuit are underway to track down and apprehend the suspected attackers who escaped while injured, according to security sources.

The authorities have vowed to bring those responsible for the incident to justice and prevent hostile elements from disturbing peace and stability in the region.

The situation remains under close watch as security personnel continue their efforts to locate the fleeing suspects.
