ISLAMABAD: OpenAI has introduced a new feature for ChatGPT aimed at making conversations more visual, interactive and easier to understand.
The new Intelligent UI feature will allow ChatGPT to display more visual content within conversations, moving beyond traditional text-based responses.
According to OpenAI, the visuals will not be limited to simple, cartoon-style images. They can include interactive buttons, customised calculators for specific tasks, interactive charts, editable graphs and other visual elements.
The company said the feature is designed to make complex topics easier to understand while making ChatGPT more user-friendly and accessible.
OpenAI Product Manager Aarush Selvan said the company has traditionally placed significant emphasis on ChatGPT’s text interface, but wants the AI assistant to provide more practical help with everyday tasks. He noted that some of the most useful responses cannot be delivered effectively through text alone.
The new interface will also be customisable. Users who prefer a more traditional, text-focused experience will have the option to limit or turn off additional visual content.
According to the announcement, the feature will be available to both paid ChatGPT subscribers and free users, expanding access to the new interactive experience.
