PESHAWAR: Former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister Ali Amin Gandapur has strongly reacted to remarks made by incumbent Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, warning that he could reveal details that would expose those involved if the statements continue.
The dispute emerged after Afridi, while addressing participants of his long march, took a swipe at the previous provincial government. He said earlier governments and their marches had been part of a “fixed match,” while the current movement was not a fixed match but a “Test match,” followed by a T20.
Following the remarks, an audio message attributed to Gandapur surfaced, in which the former chief minister expressed strong displeasure and warned against what he described as irresponsible statements and allegations.
Gandapur claimed that he had a complete record of events and said that if he started speaking openly, “everyone involved would be exposed.” He also warned that those making such statements should remain within their limits.

The former chief minister said he had previously spoken about the matter but deleted his messages in the interest of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), so that internal differences would not become public.
Gandapur further said he would no longer tolerate what he described as irresponsible remarks and reiterated his warning to those involved.
The exchange comes amid reported differences within the PTI’s provincial leadership, with the statements by both leaders drawing attention on social media. The allegations and claims in the audio message have not been independently verified.
