ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast mostly dry weather across the country, with hot conditions expected in the plains during the day.

The forecast calls for partly cloudy conditions in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan during the evening and night, with rain, strong winds, and thunderstorms expected at isolated places.

In Islamabad and adjoining areas, the weather is expected to remain dry and hot during the day, while partly cloudy conditions may develop in the evening and night.

Most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are likely to remain dry, with hot weather prevailing in the plains. However, partly cloudy conditions are expected in upper districts during the evening and night, while isolated rain with strong winds and thunderstorms is forecast in Chitral, Dir, Bajaur, Malakand, Peshawar, Swat and Kohistan.

In Punjab, most districts are expected to experience dry and hot weather during the day. However, partly cloudy conditions along with rain, strong winds and thunderstorms may occur in Murree, Galiyat and adjoining areas during the evening and night.

Most parts of Sindh are expected to remain dry and hot. Karachi and its adjoining areas may experience partly cloudy conditions, with isolated drizzle possible.

The weather is likely to remain dry and hot in most districts of Balochistan during the day.

In Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, dry weather is expected during the day, while partly cloudy conditions may develop in the evening and night. Isolated rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms is likely in Gilgit-Baltistan during the night.

The PMD advised residents in areas expected to receive thunderstorms and strong winds to remain cautious and follow official weather updates.
