ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced a significant increase in the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for October.
According to a notification issued by OGRA, the price of LPG has been increased by Rs20.68 per kilogram.
Following the increase, the price of an 11.8-kilogram domestic LPG cylinder has risen by Rs244.14, with the new price set at Rs3,296.23.
The revised prices have been determined for the month of October 2026.
Petrol, Diesel Prices Reduced as Govt Issues Notification
Meanwhile, the federal government has announced a reduction in the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) for Thursday, according to a notification issued by the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division).
The revised prices will take effect from October 1, 2026, following the latest review conducted under the government’s petroleum pricing mechanism.
According to the notification, the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has been reduced by Rs1.89 per litre, bringing the new price down from Rs402.24 to Rs400.35 per litre.
The price of motor spirit (petrol) has also been reduced, though by a smaller margin of 14 paisas per litre. Petrol will now cost Rs387.40 per litre, compared with the previous price of Rs387.54.
