ISLAMABAD: The federal government has announced a minor decrease in the price of petrol, while the rate of high-speed diesel has been revised upward.

According to the notification issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the price of petrol has been reduced by 43 paisas per litre, bringing its new rate down to Rs 390.79 per litre.

On the other hand, high-speed diesel has seen an increase of Rs 3.47 per litre, pushing its new price to Rs 424.92 per litre.

OGRA stated that the newly announced petroleum prices will come into effect starting September 18.
