QUETTA:Important briefings on the province’s social and economic sectors, minerals and mining, and law and order were held at the Balochistan Chief Minister’s Secretariat.
The briefings reviewed the provincial government’s strategy, ongoing projects, and the benefits being delivered to the public.
A detailed briefing was given on the provincial government’s key strategy for the social and economic sectors.
The briefing covered governance, service delivery, effective use of funds, and measures being taken to ensure the benefits of development projects reach the people.
The department presented details on the potential of the minerals and mining sector in Balochistan and updates on ongoing projects.
The briefing stated that various initiatives are being taken to ensure the development of the mineral sector brings economic and other benefits to the people of Balochistan.
A detailed briefing was also given on steps being taken to improve the law and order situation. Discussions included the Provincial Action Plan, police reforms, and specifically the merger of the Levies Force into the Police.
The department also updated on progress regarding the Safe City project, legislation, and improved coordination among law enforcement agencies.
Following the ministerial briefings, a detailed question and answer session was held with the Chief Minister of Balochistan.
The Chief Minister responded to several questions raised by participants and presented his stance on various matters related to different sectors of the province.
