‎PESHAWAR: A female teacher at the Government Primary School Sarki Gate, Peshawar has alleged that she was assaulted by the school principal over a minor issue.

‎According to the complaint, the principal allegedly lashed out saying, “Why wasn’t my table cleaned?” and became aggressive with the teacher during school hours.

‎The affected teacher has submitted a written application to the DEO Female Peshawar, demanding action against the school principal.

‎In the application, the teacher stated that instead of focusing on teaching, the school head forces teachers to do personal work. She further claimed that female teachers at the school are facing mistreatment, harassment, and severe pressure.

‎The teachers have urged the Education Department to take immediate action against the principal. They have also requested that if action is not possible, then the affected teachers should be transferred to other schools.

‎The incident has raised fresh concerns over the working environment for female teachers in government schools.
