PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Health Department has expressed serious concern over the failure to submit a fact-finding inquiry report into the appointments of two ward attendants at District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Bajaur, despite the passage of nearly 10 months.
The Directorate General Health Services KP has directed the Deputy Director (Administration) and the Medical Superintendent of DHQ Hospital Bajaur to immediately complete and submit the pending inquiry report.
According to an official letter issued by the directorate, an inquiry committee was constituted on October 27, 2025, to ascertain the facts surrounding the appointments of two ward attendants at the hospital.
However, despite nearly 10 months having passed since the inquiry committee was formed, its report has still not been received by the relevant authorities.
The health department expressed strong displeasure over the unusual delay, noting that the matter has remained pending before the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Service Tribunal because of the non-submission of the inquiry report.
The tribunal has also imposed costs over the delay in proceedings, according to the official correspondence.
The Director (Administration) has instructed the Deputy Director (Administration) and the Medical Superintendent to complete the fact-finding inquiry and submit the report without further delay so that it can be presented before the KP Service Tribunal.
The health department has declared the matter a top priority and extremely urgent, directing the concerned officials to take immediate action.
