ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has denied reports circulating on social media about his alleged engagement and marriage.
In a video statement, Bilawal said that if any such decision were made regarding his personal life, his family would make the announcement officially.
“Social media has already arranged my match, engagement and marriage,” Bilawal said, dismissing the reports. He also denied knowing anyone named “Princess Gloria,” who had been mentioned in some of the circulating claims.

The PPP chairman described the reports as a social media spectacle, alleging that they were being used to divert public attention from more serious issues.
Bilawal Calls for Focus on Public Issues
In his statement, Bilawal shifted attention to political and public affairs, referring to the reported deaths of 14 children in the PIMS incident in the federal capital.
He also criticised a federal minister, accusing the minister of seeking to divide the country into provinces while failing to properly manage a hospital.
Bilawal further said the comments had come at a time when the Sindh Assembly was taking what he described as a courageous position on the issue.
Reports Linked Bilawal to Austrian Royal Family
The denial follows reports claiming that Bilawal and his father, President Asif Ali Zardari, were in Vienna for discussions with an Austrian family regarding a possible engagement.
Some reports had linked Bilawal’s alleged prospective bride to the House of Habsburg-Lorraine, the former Austrian imperial dynasty, with claims that she was connected to the family of Austria’s last emperor, Charles I.
Bilawal’s latest statement, however, categorically rejects the reports of any engagement or marriage, saying that any genuine development concerning his personal life would be announced by his family.
