Reports circulating on social media linking Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to an engagement or wedding in Europe have been dismissed as incorrect and unfounded by Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab.

Speculation about Bilawal’s reported marriage gained traction on social media, with posts claiming that a high-profile ceremony could take place in Vienna or Liechtenstein. Some reports linked the rumours to President Asif Ali Zardari’s private visit to Austria, while others cited an old video purportedly showing Bilawal in Europe.

Unverified reports also claimed that Bilawal was set to marry into a European royal family, with some posts specifically mentioning the House of Liechtenstein. Other social media speculation had linked the PPP chairman to an Austrian royal family. None of these claims had been officially confirmed.

The reports prompted widespread discussion online, but Murtaza Wahab, in a post on X, said the news regarding Bilawal’s engagement or wedding was “incorrect and unfounded.”

The clarification comes as reports about Bilawal’s marriage continue to circulate, despite the absence of any official announcement from Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, his family or the PPP.
