PESHAWAR — Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is bracing for hot and humid conditions today with thunderstorms expected across several districts, as the provincial capital records a maximum of 37°C.

‎According to the latest forecast, Peshawar will remain partly cloudy through the morning with scattered thunderstorms likely around 10 AM. The temperature is currently 31°C but feels like 38°C due to 76% humidity. The Met Office has predicted up to 1.48 inches of rain today with a 40% chance of precipitation.

‎Officials have flagged air quality in Peshawar at 144 AQI, categorized as “Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups.” Residents with respiratory issues have been advised to limit outdoor activity. PM2.5 remains the primary pollutant.

‎Forecasters warn of a “very high” UV index of 9 between 11 AM and 3 PM. Citizens are urged to stay hydrated and avoid direct sun exposure.

‎Rainfall and thunderstorms are also expected in other parts of KP including Mardan, Swabi, and northern districts over the weekend, with chances of rain rising to 93% by Monday.
