ISLAMABAD: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and all commercial banks will remain closed on Wednesday, August 26, on account of the public holiday announced for Eid Milad-un-Nabi.

According to an official notification, all offices of the State Bank will remain closed on the occasion of 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal.

Commercial banks, Development Finance Institutions (DFIs) and microfinance banks will also remain closed for public dealings on the day.

The federal government has declared August 26, 2026, a public holiday to mark Eid Milad-un-Nabi.

Bank customers have been advised to plan their banking transactions accordingly, as regular public banking services will resume after the holiday
